Gary and Christine Rood are long-time residents of Clark County and active members of the community. From serving on the Southwest Washington Medical Center hospital board, to supporting the local Boys & Girls Club, Gary and Christine seek out ways to give back to Vancouver and their fellow citizens.

Gary’s 20-year background in hospital administration gave him deep insight into the needs of the older population—as well as the idea to cater to their versatile and unique needs.

The Quarry was fashioned and designed to offer seniors something “a notch above” the ordinary. The entire continuum of living options, from independent and assisted living to Parkinson’s and other movement disorders, enhanced, and memory care, is conveniently located in surroundings that set a new standard for retirement living in Vancouver.

One of the many benefits of Gary and Christine living in Vancouver is the keen insight they have into local character, preferences and expectations. They are able to oversee and contribute to every detail of design, construction and decoration. With the help of their talented and professional team, they are building a community residents will be proud to call “home.”

Columbia Tech Center provides a unique venue for this distinctive new community. Dotted with waterfalls, encompassing a 12-acre park and featuring tree-lined avenues, Columbia Tech Center is an exceptional setting. The Quarry’s proximity to the Vancouver Clinic, Clark Community College, nationally known retail stores and a new physicians’ office building make it one of the most convenient locations in Vancouver.

Gary and Christine are proud to see this new project develop into a state-of-the-art community with a variety of lifestyle choices. Gary and Christine are happy to continue in their tradition of giving back to their hometown of Vancouver.
